Abstract
Comparıson Of Hıfz Educatıon In The Fırst Perıod Of Islam Wıth Today's Hıfz Educatıon
The Qur'an is the only book memorized by millions of people for centuries, especially the Prophet Muhammad, from the moment it's revelation until now. Memorization of the Qur'an has differed in understanding, purpose and method from the prophet's time to now. In our study, it is aimed to compare the two times by revealing the purposes and methods of memorization education in the first period of Islam and today. The method of memorizing another ten verses after memorizing ten verses and applying them to their lives, over time, has been replaced by an accelerated way of memorizing the entire Qur'an, which keeps meaning in the background. Hifz education, which was initially carried out through lesson groups, became institutionalized and systematic over time, and today it has become a worship practiced in the hope of gaining Allah's approval, wherever Muslims live.
